Oswald Hunter

Oswald Hunter studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, gaining his MD in 1803. His dissertation was entitled 'De Imaginatione Morborum Causa ac Remedio'. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh the same year. In 1806 he joined the Indian Medical Service as an assistant surgeon and was promoted to surgeon in 1818. He died at Karnal, India, on 14 January 1820.
