John Hosack Fraser

John Hosack Fraser was born in 1857. He graduated MB CM from the University of Edinburgh in 1881 and worked at Lancaster Royal Infirmary before travelling extensively as a surgeon. He later settled in Bridge of Allan, where he practised medicine for several decades. He was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1895 and elected a Fellow in 1897. During the First World War he served as Medical Officer at Keir House, Dunblane, and was awarded the Belgian King Albert Medal. He died in Bridge of Allan in 1930.
