John Gray McKendrick

John Gray McKendrick was born in Aberdeen in 1841. He began his medical studies at Aberdeen in 1861 but did not complete his degree. He later graduated MD from Edinburgh in 1864. He worked as House Surgeon at Fort William and in 1869 was appointed Assistant Professor of Physiology at the University of Edinburgh. In 1876 he became Professor of Physiology at the University of Glasgow. He died in Glasgow in 1926.
