John Godfrey

John Godfrey became a Licentiate in 1833 and a Fellow in 1854 of the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and obtained his MD from St Andrews in 1854. He became a Fellow of the College in 1858. Godfrey served as a surgeon aboard HMS Diligence in 1837 and in the Spanish and Portuguese Service, and later worked as assistant surgeon at St George's and St Giles's Infirmary and Cholera Hospital.
