John Alexander Campbell Kynoch

John Alexander Campbell Kynoch was born in Morayshire in 1863 and educated at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in medicine in 1887. He specialised in obstetrics and gynaecology and undertook further study in Vienna, Munich, and Berlin. He held hospital posts including House Surgeon at Dundee Royal Infirmary and appointments at Glasgow Maternity Hospital and the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1897 and was also a Fellow of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Obstetrical Societies. He published in medical journals, including the British Medical Journal. He died in Birnam in 1931.
