James Walker Dawson

James Walker Dawson was born in India in 1870. He graduated MB CM from the University of Edinburgh in 1904 and MD in 1911, receiving a Gold Medal for his thesis 'Studies on Inflammation'. During the First World War he taught pathology at the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Infirmary. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1924. Dawson died on 26 June 1927 and is buried at Morningside Cemetery.
