James Patterson

James Patterson was born in Magherally, County Down, the son of a minister. He received his MD from the University of Edinburgh on 12 July 1832 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 4 February 1834. In 1863 Patterson became the second President of the Ulster Medical Society.
