James Clark, sometimes spelled Clerk or Clarke, obtained his MD from Marischal College, University of Aberdeen, on 7 February 1817. He was admitted a Licentiate of the College on 25 February 1817 and elected a Fellow on 5 August 1817. Clark served in the Royal Army Medical Corps as a hospital assistant from June 1811 and was promoted to Assistant Surgeon on 24 October 1818. He died in June 1822.
