George Skene Keith

George Skene Keith was born on 11 March 1819, the son of Alexander Keith, minister of St Cyrus' Free Church. He received his medical degree from the University of Edinburgh on 2 August 1841 and was the elder brother of the ovariotomist Thomas Keith. His publications include 'A Plea for a Simpler Life' (1895) and 'Fads of an Old Physician' (1897). Keith became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 4 February 1845 and died on 12 January 1910.
