George Oswald

George Oswald received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Rheims on 11 August 1696. He was awarded an eundem gradum from the University of Edinburgh on 16 November 1723, recognising his previous credentials. He was licensed to practise on 21 November 1723 and admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 4 February 1724. The College minutes note that he was admitted socius and paid twenty shillings sterling to the Treasurer for use of the College dispensary.
