George Henry Masson

George Henry Masson studied at the University of Edinburgh, gaining MD in 1897 and DSc (Public Health) in 1907. He undertook further study at medical schools in Edinburgh, Paris, Berlin and Vienna. He served as Medical Officer of Health in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and was in charge of the tuberculosis wards at the Colonial Hospital, Trinidad. He was appointed OBE in the Colonial Birthday Honours in 1936 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1923. His publications include 'Tuberculosis in Trinidad and Tobago' (1912). He died circa 1941.
