Frederick James Tresilian was born in London circa 1862. Following the death of his parents, he moved to Cork, where he was educated and later graduated MD from Queen's College Cork. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1901 and of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1902. He contributed articles to the British Medical Journal throughout his career. During the First World War he served as Honorary Medical Officer at Enfield War Memorial Hospital. Frederick James Tresilian died in Enfield, London, in 1926.
