Francis Kennedy Dickson was born circa 1843. He became a Licentiate of the College in 1864 and a Fellow in 1873. He spent his professional life in Derbyshire as both a medical practitioner and public servant, serving as a Justice of the Peace and Chairman of the Licensing Committee. He succeeded his father as proprietor and Resident Physician of Wye House Asylum, Buxton, which he ran for over thirty years. He also acted as Senior Consulting Physician to the Devonshire Hospital, Buxton, and as Honorary Acting Medical Officer to the Devonshire Hospital and Buxton Bath Charity from 1865 to 1878. He died at Buxton on 2 February 1907.
