Francis Boynton Lee became a Licentiate of the Society of Apothecaries of London in 1867, having trained at Leeds. He was admitted as a Licentiate of the College in 1869 and elected a Fellow in 1875. He practised mainly in the Bradford area, including at Thornton and Liversedge, and also acted as Medical Referee to the Prudential Assurance Association and as Medical Officer to a number of friendly societies. He married Anna Marie at Slaithwaite on 25 February 1875.
