Edward Duffin Allison

Edward Duffin Allison graduated MD from the University of Aberdeen on 20 August 1827. In 1826 he published 'Observations on the expediency of instituting a friendly association of the medical profession throughout Scotland', proposing a provident society for medical practitioners and their families. Allison was one of the original committee members of the Medical Provident Institution of Scotland, which operated from 1826 to 1833.
