David Wemyss

David Wemyss, 4th Earl of Wemyss was born to James Wemyss of Caskieberry and Margaret, 3rd Countess of Wemyss and Countess of Cromarty. He was baptised 29 April 1678. In 1705, he succeeded his mother to the title and was elected to the Scottish Parliament. After serving as one of the commissioners for the Treaty of Union with England, he was selected to be one of the sixteen Scottish lords who represent Scotland in the British Parliament. He was also vice-admiral of Scotland. He died in 1720.
