David Hope Watson trained in Edinburgh and was made a Licentiate of the College in 1859, and a Fellow in 1877. He spent much of his career in practice in Stockton-on-Tees, where he also worked as a surgeon for the North Eastern Railway. He died in Stockton-on-Tees in January 1890.
