David Balfour

Date of honorary Fellowship admission: 7 February 1744
David Balfour's admittance as Honorary Fellow to the College notes him as a physician in Kirkcaldy. It is possible that he is the son of Michael Balfour, 4th Baronet of Denmiln, as some sources list a Dr David Balfour of Kirkcaldy as one of his descendants. There are conflicting sources as to the dates of birth and death of this David Balfour, with some stating he was born around 1680 and died in 1763, whilst others list him as being born in 1695 and dying in 1751.
