Charles Ransford

Charles Ransford lived from about 1808 to 1886. He qualified MD on 12 July 1833. His publications include 'Dissertatio anatomica physiologica inauguralis de cerebello' (1833) and 'Reasons for Embracing Homeopathy' (1851). Ransford was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1835 and served as an Examiner for the College. He was also a Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Medical Officer to the Royal and Western Dispensaries, Secretary of the Anatomical and Obstetrical Societies, Member of the Medico-Chirurgical Society, Extraordinary Member and later President of the Harveian Society of Edinburgh, President of the Royal Medical Society and Physician to the York Homeopathic Dispensary.
