Charles Radclyffe Hall

Charles Radclyffe Hall was born in Congleton, Cheshire, in 1820 and graduated MD from the University of Erlangen on 16 February 1848. After early hospital work in Manchester, he practised in Bristol and later Torquay, serving hospitals for consumption and reduced gentlewomen. Hall published on bronchial physiology, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 1 August 1848 and died in 1879.
