Charles Pitt Wetherell Neate trained at St Thomas's Hospital, London, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1865. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1889 and was a member of the British Medical Association. He died in December 1914.
