Charles Frere Webb

Charles Frere Webb was born and worked in Basingstoke. He was a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians of London, and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He earned his MD from the University of Durham in 1888 and practised as a general practitioner in Basingstoke throughout his career, including service as Medical Officer of Health for the town and Medical Officer for the 1st District Basingstoke Union workhouse. He retired to Cley, Norfolk, where he died in 1911.
