Charles Browne

Charles Browne trained at Guy's Hospital, London, and was the third generation of his family to enter the medical profession. He practised in Camberwell for many years and served as Honorary Secretary of the United Hospitals Club, a society established to promote cooperation between Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals. He was also a former Master and Examiner of the Society of Apothecaries of London and served for a period as Assistant Surgeon to the 1st Surrey Volunteer Regiment. He died in London in 1905.
