Archibald Stodart Walker

Archibald Stodart Walker was born in Fife in 1870 and educated at Liverpool College and the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 1891. He undertook further study in Paris, Bologna and London and served as House Physician at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. He was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1895 and elected a Fellow in 1897. In 1900 he left medical practice to pursue a literary career, later serving as a Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps during the First World War. He died in London in 1934.
