Archibald Robertson

Archibald Robertson was born in 1789. He studied medicine in Edinburgh and later worked at the Mill Prison Hospital for French prisoners at Plymouth. He served in the navy in the Baltic, West Indies and near New Orleans. Robertson received his MD from Edinburgh in 1817 and established medical practice in Northampton. From 1820 he served as Physician to Northampton Infirmary and in 1836 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society. He died in Bristol in 1864.
