Andrew Young studied in Edinburgh but received his MD from Aberdeen on surgical medicine. He practised medicine at Newcastle. On the same day of his graduation, 22 June 1793, a petition requesting admittance as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh was submitted.
