Andrew Rutherford

Andrew Rutherford studied at the University of Edinburgh, graduating MB ChB in 1912 and BSc in Public Health in 1915. He was registered at Palmerston Place, Edinburgh. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1924. He served as Pathologist at Chalmers' Hospital, the Deaconess Hospital, and the Royal Victoria Dispensary for Tuberculosis, Edinburgh, and as Medical Officer for the Sun and Atlas Assurance Consultants. His publications include 'Cardiac Ball Thrombus', The Lancet (1920), and 'Liver Atrophy', Quarterly Journal of Medicine.
