Alfred Crabb

Alfred Crabb received his medical degree from the University of St Andrews on 5 May 1846. He served as Admiralty Medical Officer to the Coastguard and Naval Reserve, medical officer of health for the rural district of Great Canford and Kinson and surgeon to several local institutions. His publications focused on infant disease, brain development and the effects of opium. Crabb became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh on 7 November 1846 and died in Poole on 17 February 1875.
