Alexander Philip Wilson

Alexander Philip Wilson was born in Scotland in 1770. He received his MD from the University of Edinburgh in 1792. Wilson practised medicine in Edinburgh and gave lectures on a range of medical subjects. Following this, he moved to Worcester where he was appointed physician to the Worcester General Infirmary in 1802. In 1817, Wilson moved to London and established a private practice. He then left Britain, apparently as a result of debt, and moved to Boulogne, France. Wilson wrote widely, particularly on the subject of fever. The date and location of his death are unknown.
