Alexander MacNamee Walker

Alexander MacNamee Walker obtained his Masters in Surgery in 1836 and became a Licentiate in Midwifery. He later received MD degrees from Cleveland, USA, in 1853 and from Giessen in 1856, becoming a Fellow of the College in 1858. He spent much of his life in Tunbridge Wells, where he worked as physician to the Parade Dispensary. He was a Fellow of the Anthropological Society of London and published lectures on the poems and songs of Robert Burns in 1858 and 1860.
