Adolphus Edward Bridger earned his MB CM from the University of Edinburgh in 1878, followed by his MD in 1880 and a BSc from the University of Paris in 1881. He worked at several London hospitals, including the Hospital for Women, the Royal Dental Hospital, and the Hospital for Consumption and Diseases of the Chest. He later served as Consulting Physician for Tuberculosis to the borough of St Pancras and as Senior Physician to the St Pancras Dispensary. He published several books, including 'The Demon of Dyspepsia', 'Digestion, Perfect and Imperfect', and 'Man and His Maladies'. He died in Middlesex in 1920.
