
Graham Morgan
This interview was part of the free public exhibition Moonstruck: 500 years of mental health which ran at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh from 14 June 2019 to Spring 2020.
Graham Morgan has a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. He helped to create the Mental Health Care and Treatment Act and has received an MBE for services to mental health. Graham has also recently written a book called ‘Start’ which is partially an account of his life on a compulsory community treatment order but also a study of the importance of relationships, nature and understanding yourself.
In this interview Graham discusses his own experiences with mental illness and his hopes for improvements in the future of the public understanding of these conditions.
