Conor Maguire

This interview was part of the free public exhibition Moonstruck: 500 years of mental health which ran at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh from 14 June 2019 to Spring 2020. 

Conor Maguire is a consultant physician in medicine for the elderly at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital. Conor has studied the subject of dementia and lectured in the care of the elderly. He has also worked with a range of Parkinson’s-related charities and support groups. He is Director of Education at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. In this interview Conor considers how doctors from a whole range of medical specialties treat patients with mental health conditions such as dementia, anxiety, and depression.
