Dr McNeill is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Consultant in Clinical Genetics at Sheffield University and Sheffield Children's Hospital. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2004 and trained in General Medicine in Newcastle (MRCP 2007). He undertook Clinical Genetics training on the West Midlands training programme and a PhD in Neurogenetics from UCL (MRC Clinical Training Research Fellowship). His research interests include identifying novel genes for neurogenetic disorders and characterising the prodromal period in people who carry genetic variants causing neurological disease but who are asymptomatic.
