    Patrick McCulloch

    (1789)

    No29. Patrick McCulloch. at 22.

A distinctly marked case of Haemop.

And in circum perhaps still more alarm than that of Rob. Miln

For here I think reason to susp. that has already even degen into Phth.

To that disease patient from his age more dispos than other.

For is still in what commonly reckond the consumpt. period.

Here also reason to susp. that affec of lungs of consid stand had preceded haemoptys.

For had been subj to pain of side of for space even of two years

Since Haemopty began has been subj to repeatd recurrn.

And from state appear of expect. conj with redness of tongue, have reason to think that some degree of purul expect disch alread takes place.

Pulse indeed never remarkd very quick.

Nor has he those other sympt which indic what can be calld an exquis hect. fever.

But at same time emac appear & loss of strength unquest very alarm.

And am I own very appreh that in no long time will fall vict to his disease.

In this however as well as in case of Miln is intent also to make trial of G. Tragacanth with Starch.

And shall at least be thus afterw able to speak of it from more exper.
