    David Sheriff

    The First case David Sheriff.

    But since formerly spoke of him, has not attend here.

    Is by profess a Seaman & prob in course of businss has left us for some time.

    Shall at pres therefore, add nothing to remarks off in last lect.

    May only repeat that consider [what] has formerly taken place in his case as afford some useful less to myself.

    Had before held, following [opin] of greater part of natural, & relying in plates in [French] treat respect M Nouffer med. That distinct markd diff. between Taenia lata & T. Cucurbit.

    And had exhib two species one as ex of Tape the other of Gourd worm.

    Now however satisf. that a Taenia at one part of length may be [distin] of Gourd, at anoth of Tape kind.

    This manif case in [part] of Sherifs worm formerly brought away.

    But whether to give it one or otherr name evid an obst. one.

    And could not be radic removed by Tin powder, although from this med large portions expelld.

    Whether should have been more success by Dr [Herrenschward] & Mad Nouffers med. remains to be determ by future trials if such shall be afforded.
