    John Murray

    1789


    No33. March. 3d. 1789.

    John Murray at 34 complains of a constant fixed pain of the Head confined in a great measure to the os frontis. He observes also a great diminution of vision in both eyes. On inspection however they have a natural appearance, excepting that the pupils seem to be somewhat dilated. But they contract freely on exposure to light. He has likewise a sense of coldness over his whole body, & complains of much general debility, with unusual depression of spirits.

    Pulse & Belly regular. Appetite not much impaird.

    The pain of his head came on about July last without any obvious cause. And the diminution of vision superveend in [Decer].

    He has used no medicines.

    Cap. Pil. e Camph. grV om m & vesp.

    March 7th.

    Thinks his headach somewhat diminishd since the use of the pills, but the affection of vision continues much as before

    The headach has been less severe & less constant, but there has been little change on his vision

    April 4.

    Headach relievd & he is less affected with the diminution of vision. He is also free from a pain of his back with which has lately been affected.

    The headach & affection of vision continue much diminishd. But he has had some return of the pain & weakness of his back.
