    Mary Millegine

    (1788)

    No3. Mary Millegine. at 34

In hist of this pat compl. char of two disease, & both very com.

    Leucorrhoea & Menorrhagia.

    These not unfreq. occur separ.

    Perhaps oftener however conj.

Or at least with Fluor Alb. much more freq. morbid encr than dimin of menstr.

And when Leucorh & Menorrh. conj. compl. very gener. more obst. than when either separ.

For mutually oper as causes supp each other

And at same, by pres of either prev. restr from pract which might otherwise be empl.

From these circum then reason to apprhen. that this case will prove obstin.

Espec. as either disease even in its most simple state very diff. to overcom.

In this inst with a view to restore due vigour to uterine vessels, have had recourse to tonics & Astring.

And as such have empl. Peruv Bark & Vitriol. Acid.

Hitherto cannot pretend to say, that from these have reapt any great advant.

But have at least been prod of no bad effect.

And as is only from contin that can expect benef. this at least some inducem to persist in same plan.
