In case of this patient have I think an evid complic of diseases. Can be little doubt that not a few of his sympt. are evid effect of flatul. But at same time am now inclind to think, that this by much least dang. part of affect. For have I think much ground to appreh that subj to Phthis. Of this indeed when case taken had not same evid as have now. And accord began by direct med against flatul & affect of alim canal Was with view to these that [directed] Foetid pills & mixture of Tinct Absin with Aromat. Tinct. But since begun these, while [uneasnss.] in bowels much dimin, cough has become more severe. And has been attended accord to his acct with expect of matter, evid purul. with mixt of blood. This taken in conj. with state of pulse & other circum ment. in Hist of case, gives strong presumpt of Phthis. And if that the case [too] much reason to fear that disease will have fatal termin. At same time do not consid it as one of most unfav. cases. For view it as ex of what in [illegible] distinct to Tuberc. & Catarhal may be stilld ulcer. Phthis. And prop as far as circum of case will allow to give fair trial to Gum Myrrh.
