In case of this patient most distr. sympt pain of side. This however neither const nor fixd to any partic part. And from connex with distens of stomach, with nausea, & vomiting may concl. that whole the affect of flatul. Accord all sympt much allev, on disch of wind. Amindeedhowever somewhat doubtful whether to same cause, can attrib headach. Is indeed certain that from affect of alim canal headach often arises. And that this here case not less probab from vertigo & tend to syncop with which accompan. But in extens of pain of head to lowr jaw, have a circum creating some suspic. At any rate however consider affect of alim canal as most import & most immed. requir. aid. And by obs. whether on allev of these headach removed or not will best be able to determwhetherthese be conn or contr. Hence then to former alone that pract hitherto directed. And while with view to immed expuls of flatul. have had recourse to pil. foetid, with hopes of combat that state of intest on which extricat depends have directed, the mixt of bitter & aromat tinct. And by effects result from these will in some degree be guided in future pract.
