Nicolas Hayley at 50, complains of very acute pain in the fore part of his head which extends from thence to the temples & down to the lower jaw. This pain is particularly severe when he becomes warm in bed, & it is also much affected by sudden changes of weather. His strength is much impaird since this complaint began; but in other respects his health is not much affected.

Pulse about 76 & tolerably regular. Belly at present natural, but it was rather bound till he used some purgative pills

These pains first attackd him about eight months ago. They superveend to a severe blow on the back part of his head with a cudgel which was followed by the exfoliation of a small piece of bone. He became first affected with the present pain when the cut in his head heald up.
