In case of this patient a distin markd inst of Anasarc. And here little doubt that to water effused in cellul. membr. all other sympt to be attrib. For to water may I thinkwith confidchiefly attrib both cough & dysp. These sympt. indeed we are told preceded obv. swelling for some time But from this would only infer that effus in cellul. membr. of lungs prior to other parts. Must however admit that copious viscid expect shews a cert degree of catarrh. And cold cause to which affect of pres patient ascribd well known to be a powerful cause of both In pres inst disease neither of long standing nor to high degree. May therfore hope for remov. But occurs in a female far adv in life. Hence great danger of return. And not surp. if in end fatal. Is here intent to attempt disch of water by urin pass. And for this purp. after some [time] ofIpecaeCream of Tart. have now conj with it [Dig] If by these means evac shall superad tonics. Partic Bark & Chalyb.
