    James Miller

    (1787-1788)

    No19. Jas Miller at 28.

Disease of this patient somewhat of doubtful nature.

And cannot from any thing that have yet seen or heard form decided opin with resp. to it.

Am however inclind to consider it as being an irregul or rather an anomal. interm.

For if entirely an example of that affect consists merely, in cold fits.

And while these of uncomm length disease also of uncomm durab having already subs. for space of sever. months.

From these circum am inclind to view it, as not partaking more of nature of interm, than of gener. tribe but of nervous affect.

A term under which must be allowd that Phys. often cloack their ign.

In this state cannot be supp. that can say any thing posit as to prognos.

But nothing at least in app. [all]

And gives at least better chance of natural concl. that of late even of itself obs. to decline.

Am hopeful therfore that if [cannot] prod artif may at least aid natur termin.

And is with this intent, that after erupt stom by emet have [direcd] mixt of Peruv. Bark & Valer.

But since these rem ordered has been subj to new & accid affect Otalgia.

For this have directed mixt of Camph Oil & Tinct. Theb.

But of pract reserve obs. till afterwar
