    And notwith mildness of pres winter has occurd with greater sever than usual.

    After contin which has had can now hardly expect compl or radic cure

    But even from change of seasn alone reason to hope for tempor remiss.

    And this aided, by med [unload] breast & giving determ to other [orga]

    Is with this view that have directed repeated emet.

    And to these may again have occas recourse, when reason to think that large collect of mucus in lungs.

    But to prev augm secretion have directed Vin. Nicot.

    Which may I hope from oper as diuret. have affect of giving determ to kidney.

    And by this means, in same manner as determ to surface from [warmth], relieve breast.

    According this effect daily obs to arise from Diuret, Squills &e.

    But of all I have empl. have seen greatr benef from none than Nicot.

    Accord have of late used it in sever inst.
