Another example of Catarrh. And although patient at earlier period of life yet manifestly of chronic kind. For now regularly subjected to it during winter season for [several] years past. And notwithstanding mildness of present winter has occurred with greater severity than usual. A proof of increased violence of the disease. After continuation which has had can now hardly expect complete or radical cure But even from change of season alone reason to hope for temporary remission. And this aided, by medicine [unloading] breast & giving determination to other [organs] Is with this view that have directed repeated emetics. And to these may again have occasional recourse, when reason to think that large collection of mucus in lungs. But to prevent augmented secretion have directed Vinum Nicotiana. Which may I hope from operating as diuretic have affect of giving determination to kidney. And by this means, in same manner as determination to surface from [warmth], relieve breast. Accordingly this effect daily observed to arise from Diuretic, Squills etc. But of all I have employed have seen greater benefit from none than Nicotiana. Accordingly have of late used it in several instances.
