    In case of this pat. many of common sympt of Anas.

    Such at least as suff. to char.

    Swelling. Scarcit of Urine. Dyspnoea &e

    But this case also not without [pecul]

    As such may ment. tense feel of swelling. Comm in [intig] of abd. & even vomiting.

    But these am inclind to think in part if not altog to be expl. from cause by which induced.

    For here little doubt that effect of obstr. of menst. disch.

    Or rather of suspen of that [evac]

    For pat. has you will obs. arrived at that period of life when comm ceases.

    A period always very critical with females.

    And often even induc affect in end fatal.

    Hence though but of recent stand. & without any very alarm sympt can hardly venture to give fav. progn

    For remov. of cause, that is restor of menst. disch. hardly an obj to be wishd for.

    And till habit undergoes consid change, so that no longer want of [accus] evac. danger of contin.

    Or at least of recurr of affect in some form or other.

    Yet hope that by common treat of Anasar. may at least remove pres. compl.

    Partic by use of med comb. gentle diuret & cathart powr.

    Is with this intent that recour to Crem of Tart with Jallap.
