    21. Wm Ritchie at 24 is affected with sympt. which give too much reason to dread that he lab. under Phthis Pulm.

    And am I own very appreh. that notwith all we can do for his relief, he will soon fall victim to the affect.

    Here however as in [case] of Dav. Bickerton intend also to make trial of G. Myrrh.

    And am from the begining [emp] it in comb. with Sal. Chalyb.

    If from this med reap any advant. will natur persist in use.

    But if disease has rapid encr. & opport afforded for other trials, may have recourse to weak infus of digitalis.
