    John McDougall

    (1784-1785)

    John McDougall.

This patient has never attended us since case introd into regist.

And as we do not know where he is to be found prob that shall not see him again as subj of pract.

Shall only in general observe that though most distress. sympt were severe cough, & although affect not altog without ambig. yet looked upon it as being pecul modif of an Intermittent.

And as deriving origin from Fens of Cambridgshire where had been eng in country work.

Even on this idea of disease, & with [persuas] that intermitt here seldom danger. yet could not look upon it as free from hazard.

    Partic from severity of cough.

Yet hoped that by prop admin of Peruv Bark might be brought to success conclus.

But from any trials of this kind have been precluded by desert of patient.

Unnecess. therefore to say any thing farther respect case.
