Ann Brown at 19 complains of great sickness at stomach, attended with an inclination to vomit every thing that is taken. She finds herself much weakned & is troubled at times, with heaviness & stupidity. Pulse 76. Menses rather scanty. Belly somewhat bound. Appetite very good but she can never digest the food taken as it is in a short time after always thrown up again. This affection attackd her about a week ago, there were no previous symptoms, but she was seized unexpectedly upon taking a meal with nausea & inclination to vomit which now always returns when she takes any food. No cause is assignd for her complaints & she has taken no medicines. Rx Pulv. R. Rhei R Zingib aa ℥ p Magnes Alb. ℥ii.Mcap coch parv. bis indies July 10. Has taken the powder regularly which has some affect in moving her belly. The vomiting is now less frequent & less severe than formerly. Cont. Med. u. a.
