    Came under our care for Haemoptysis.

    When applied for assist. but of few days standing.

    And although at first to quantity of near ½ pint yet had upon whole been to no great extent.

    And without any sympt that could be consid as alarm.

    About two years before patient had been subj to simil affect.

    Then howev affect of accid [straining] from raising great weight.

    This, together with state of pulse led me to consid it at pres. as being more of passive than act. kind

    And accord had immed recourse to Astring. Succus Japon comb. with Cream of Tart & G. Arab.

    From this for space of week [apr] some benef.

    Encouraged therfore to direct contin.

    But have since that seen nothing of him.

    And hence cannot pretend to say what has been or may be event of [case]
